Band Biography

In the summer of 2023, On the Side was born out of the combined vision of Donnie Bowles (guitar/vocals) and Steve "Sleeves Levine" Davis (lead vocals/harmonica).  These two musicians, with an all-consuming desire to perform rock and roll that is fun to play, dance, and listen to, searched high and low for extremely talented professionals who shared that same passion for entertaining music.

 

Donnie and Sleeves eventually hit the jackpot in the fall of 2024, as the line-up solidified behind the rhythm section of Jim Christensen (bass) and Roger Baldwin (drums).  Bob Randolph completed the band with his exceptional guitar and keyboard skills.

We call ourselves On the Side, but our shows are the full rock and roll meal.
